Is It Half Full or Half Empty?
Often, the picture depicted on the left or a similar picture, always begs the question as to whether the individual sees the glass half empty or half-full?
Supposedly, depending upon your answer, it shows whether you are an optimist or a pessimist
If you are an optimist you see the glass as half-full and if you are a pessimist you see the glass as half empty.
Perhaps a paradigm shift is in order and rather than seeing the above illustration as an indicator of your attitude (pessimist or optimist), maybe the real indicator or focus should be that there is more room for liquid to be poured into the container. Period.
Therefore, if we focus on this shift and apply it to our business, team building and personal life, the question would then become not about attitude but more about the goal of filling the glass to the brim.
Obviously, for this to happen, there does need to be attitude adjustments, but the overall strategy is not how you adjust your staff's or your attitude and whether it is pessimistic or optimistic, but the bringing of the team together to reach the common goal of how to fill the glass to the brimming over point with "the liquid." The adjustments necessary to achieve this goal will follow and the goals realized.
We can help you "fill your glass" to become a team of purpose and united to achieving your company's vision.
